Hitting/Pitching/Softball/Catchers/Fielding
Baseball is a difficult sport to master. Baseball is different than other sports; it demands highly developed bio-mechanical motor skills - skills developed through hours of hard work. Raw athletic ability, by itself, is insufficient to produce a good baseball player.

Hardtke Baseball Academy believes that the hard work demanded by the sport of baseball teaches young athletes important life lessons. Individuals of average athletic ability can be adept baseball players - or even excel - if they are willing to work hard.

We're proud of our students who gain college baseball/softball scholarships, play pro ball, and (the select few) who make it to the majors. But, we are just as proud of the average player who gains that extra bit of self-confidence through hard work - self-confidence that allows them to excel in the classroom or in other aspects of life.

Lessons are scheduled to fit your schedule. We strongly suggest lesson packages, as opposed to a single lesson, as proper hitting requires consistent focus and review.

Proper mechanics and mental makeup are the keys to getting to the “next level.” Whether it’s from minor little league to the majors in little league or from youth baseball to high school ball. Terry Hardtke, currently an associate scout for the Atlanta Braves,  has served as a hitting instructor at the college and high school levels. He also instructs professional hitters during their off-season. During his 30+ years of coaching experience, over 150 of his students have played at the college and/or professional level. All H-WOB hitting instructors use the Terry Hardtke methodology of hitting in order to help each player get to the “next level.”  You can sign-up for lessons by clicking on the Link below.

Private Catchers Lessons:

Each lesson will be 30 minutes long and will cover all aspects of proper catching mechanics: Skills include: receiving, blocking, footwork to all bases, and building a quick release. Proper throwing, blocking, and receiving mechanics are vital in moving to the “next level.” Due to the demand for quality catchers at every level, proper mechanics will increase playing time as well as enhancing the player’s opportunity for advancing. Lessons will be given by Jason Orr, a former catcher at San Jose State University and University of Hawaii. Jason’s advanced footwork and throwing drills have gained him the reputation as a top catching coach.
